Planning permission granted

We are delighted to announce that, following the meeting of Dorset Council's Northern area Planning Committee yesterday, we have been granted planning permission to build a new car park in the Pumphouse field, subject to a number of conditions. This will provide us with 40+ parking spaces. Following the sale of part of the old "Perkins" building we have lost quite a lot of parking. As we prepare our planning application to move from museum status to an operational heritage railway we will now be able to show that we can provide sufficient parking for our visitors.
