News Update 19th January 2022

An exciting day for the North Dorset Railway at Shillingstone. In order to comply with regulations, the NDR initiated its driver training programme on Wednesday. This involved our ICP (Independent Competent Person) and an assessor visiting the site and conducting trial runs with our locomotive "Ashdown" and two wagons to confirm that the rolling stock was fit to run and that the Railway has the necessary safety documentation in place. We are pleased to report that the trials were successful and that our driver training programme will take place over the next few weeks.
