News Update 14th February 2022

Good weather on Saturday allowed further excavation work on the eastern side of the embankment to progress smoothly. The spoil was transported across the bridge and dumped ready to be spread and compacted to form the railway embankment on the north side: this work will continue for the next few weeks.

Bad weather on Sunday coincided with our first practical driver training day. Our three driver candidates were given instruction in locomotive handling, shunting techniques and passage through crossings by our two independent competent persons. Despite the foul weather, much was achieved and further sessions will take place during February and March.
