Jon Jenkins

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our Chairman, Jon Jenkins, at the home of his daughter in Derbyshire on Sunday 9th June.

Jon had been Chairman of the NDR for the last three years and was instrumental in the preparation of the trackbed for the extension and took a major role in planning and in discussions with external stakeholders. He was also the site manager, the membership secretary and frequently worked in the cafe.

Jon's work on the Railway, his calm manner, care and consideration given to others, and the support he gave to all the volunteers will be sorely missed.
