Formal opening of the track extension and car park
DATE POSTED: 18 Sep 2025Volunteers and guests attended the formal opening of the track extension and car park. The station’s youngest long-serving volunteer, 13 year old Joe Bond, green-flagged NDR’s diesel loco which cut through the traditional ribbon, followed by the Wickham Trolly and Project 62’s steam loco. Guests of honour were Simon Hoare, MP for North Dorset, and High Sheriff of Dorset, Callum Bremner JP, and the event was covered by BBC South.
