Extension update 26th September 2021

Lots more hard work this weekend: we had two gangs working on Saturday. One gang was replacing old defective sleepers (that were laid many years ago) in preparation for the jacking and packing of the track through the station. The other gang were removing the wire netting from the old tennis court which we intend to re-use for the new badger sett. This was harder than it sounds: the vegetation had taken a very firm grip of the netting and removing it took lots of brute strength.

There's another half day's work to complete this and then we will make a start on site clearance for the Trailway diversion south of the bridge. The recent good weather means we are two weeks ahead of schedule at the moment.
