Completion of point
DATE POSTED: 12 Feb 2024We completed the laying of the point connection to the P62 shelter this weekend. The next stage is to "tramline" the tracks so that our car park can be extended. Tramlining will involve laying ballast to top of sleeper level followed by a layer of free draining material to top of rail level, to allow vehicles to cross the tracks when not in use. As the siding is an infrequently used slow running line, purely there for towing loco 30075 from its shelter, there is no need for check rails, other than over the point.
