30075 achieves its boiler certificate
DATE POSTED: 06 Aug 202530075, one of the ‘Yankee Tank’ steam locomotives being restored by the Project 62 group at Shillingstone Station, achieved its boiler certificate. The 1960 engine, built in Yugoslavia to an American design, had done service at many heritage railways since it arrived in the UK (in parts) in 1990, before coming to Shillingstone in 2016 for a complete overhaul.
